Sikhs For Justice have been very vocal on the riots of 1984, here in Canada and USA, even petitioned The White House and President Barack Obama, to grant justice to the victims of 1984.

Sikhs For Justice also sued Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal, and President All India Congress Comm., Sonia Gandhi, in New York, for the same reasons Supreme court lawyer and member Aam Admi Party H.S.Phoolka of Delhi High Court has been pursuing the cases relating to anti-Sikh riots in New Delhi, recommended the name of IPS ,Punjab ADGP Suresh Arora, to head the SIT. NRI organizations , here in Canada and USA, strongly feel that Sikhs For Justice should be made a member of the SIT Team Investigating the riots, since many of the victims families are residing in Vancouver, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago and New York, who are witness to the riots.

Sikhs of America Chairman Dr. Jaswant Singh, also wants NRI, participation in the SIT investigation, since this is one of the major issues of Human Rights violations in Punjab and New Delhi. North America Sikh Associations have alleged that the probe into the 1984 riots was motivated by political considerations. ”

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has scored a major political point ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections in May, we recommend Sikhs for Justice be a part of SIT Team in New Delhi”, said Indian Overseas Congress, President Vikram Bajwa, while welcoming the SIT, General Secretary Sunil Malhotra emphasized, let it be a fair and fast Investigation, where thousands are awaiting Justice in India and abroad.

“We have written to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on the matter and ask Sikh For Justice , representative Gurpatwant Pannu to forward a request to L.G.Najeeb Jung”, said Mohinder Singh of WSO.
